I'm a winner!

I'm part of an online FB group called "What Fairmont Needs...".  We basically spend time batting ideas around to improve out city. 

Two things have happened recently related to this group....and they're both pretty good.

1.  I won a $100 Visa gift card from the City Planning office.  They had an online survey that took all of about 10 minutes.  At the end of the time period, they drew a name, and it was mine.  WooHoo.  I decided to spend it locally since that was the spirit of the survey.  I picked up a couple trinkets from Rider's, had lunch at The Firehouse Cafe, and then ended up picking up paint for my kitchen from Sherwin Williams.  And now it's all gone.  But it was fun while it lasted.

2.  I opened my big mouth again asking why Fairmont can't do free movies in the park like Morgantown or Clarksburg.  The idea was met with positive comments, as well as a comment from Main Street Fairmont that we could do it....if someone was willing to lead that project.  Kinda felt like a put up or shut up moment.  Now, I'm not leading this by any means, but I am on board and meeting with some other people to see if we can make it happen.  I really hope it works out. 

I guess all I have left to say now is.....
