Quick and easy dinner: The big sandwich.

As I snapped pictures for this post, I kept thinking "Is this necessary?"  I mean, there is basically nothing to this recipe, but it's one of my favorite go to meals and one of my families favorites.

Here's what you'll need:
1/2 cup mayo (more or less)
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 loaf French of Italian bread
Lunch meat or leftover meat (turkey, ham, chicken)
Shredded cheese of your choice - I used cheddar.

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix two heaping spoonfuls of mayo with a few shakes of garlic powder.

Take a loaf of Italian bread and cut in half lengthwise.
Cover with mayo mixture.

Layer ham onto bread.
Top with cheese and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Cut into slices and eat warm.

Delish!
The best thing about this meal is that it's easy to make, easy to adapt and inexpensive.

I pick up Italian or French bread when it's on clearance and pop it in the freezer for use later.  I've used deli meat when it's on sale, or leftover chicken, ham or turkey.  Also, I use whatever cheese I have on hand.  It always works out.

Serve with some fruit or a salad and you have a quick and easy meal.  Just like I like it!
