Tempt Your Tummy.               Things I Think About.               Project Time.

Menu Plan Monday for May 6th.

Sorry for being so quiet last week.  The no sugar challenge was even harder than I thought it would be - but I did it!  I have had no desserts or sugary drinks for one week.  I felt just awful on Tuesday and Wednesday but by Thursday I could see the light again.  I even avoided dessert at our women's group covered dish dinner at the church on Friday.  This week's Fit in 42 challenge is to continue with the no sugar thing and eat a healthy breakfast.  This I can do.  I love breakfast!

Ronnie was on vacation last week and we did some projects around the house, including finally planting the garden.  Wait.  That's not entirely true.  We planted the corn.  We're getting the rest of it in tonight.  I have to tell you, the boys are actually a big help this year.  I hardly had to crawl on my knees at all.

After much research, we finally replaced our grill that died two years ago.  I really missed grilling out last year.  We bought a Weber Spirit grill.  Tonight I'm trying it out.  Get ready to see a lot of grilling recipes.

Speaking of recipes, here's what's on this weeks menu:

Monday:  Honey grilled chicken, carrots and buttered noodles
Tuesday:  Steak, baked potatoes and green beans.
Wednesday:  Taco Salad and pineapple
Thursday:  Grilled peppers with chicken Santa Fe
Friday:  Pizza night
Saturday:  Pancakes and eggs
Sunday:  Dinner out for Mother's Day

Check back on Wednesday for the start of my series on thrifty living!

As always, don't forget to check out orgjunkie.com for more great menu planning ideas.

You are brave to chance the restaurants on Mom's Day. :) Have a great week.

Not so much the resturant as the nursing home with my grandma. I probably should have clarified that. Although we are going to 5 Guys this weekend for our Mother's Day dinner - yep. I'm classy like that!
